OrthoNeuro currently offers six Advanced Training Programs for those individuals who do not need formal physical therapy. These programs are cash-based and are not billed to an insurance company. The Advanced Training Programs are administered at our OrthoNeuro Physical Therapy clinics. The following is a brief summary of the programs.
TPI Golf Fitness:
The OrthoNeuro /Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Golf Fitness Program begins with a physical screen that identifies the areas of the body that are the limiting physical factors in the golf swing. The physical screen evaluates the legs, hips, torso, shoulders, address posture, dynamic posture (backswing, downswing, follow through), and ability to coordinate and sequence various movements. After the initial evaluation the results are entered into the TPI database and an exercise program is developed to meet their individual needs.
TPI Certified Golf Fitness Instructor: Jay Holdgreve, MEd, ATC, CGFI
ON Track:
OrthoNeuro’s ON Track Program bridges the gap between the end of formal physical therapy and the time when cleared for return to full activity. The program allows the client to advance toward a return to competitive athletics or a high intensity job in a controlled environment, under the direct supervision of a certified athletic trainer.
Numerous patients are released from formal physical therapy due to achieving goals of daily function or limited approved visits, per their insurance policy. The OrthoNeuro ON Track Program will allow these individuals a choice to workout in a controlled environment, perform the proper exercises, and progress according to OrthoNeuro protocols thus improving functional outcomes.
ACL Prevention:
Our program emphasizes multi-plane, multi-joint work that puts a premium on balance and proprioception in functional, sport-specific positions. OrthoNeuro Certified Athletic Trainers will address individual weaknesses and train the athlete in proper body mechanics, muscle recruitment and positioning to improve sport specific skills while decreasing the risk of injury.
Injury Prevention & Performance Enhancement:
Available to athletes of all ages and skill levels, this program is personalized for the individual based on the results of a Functional Movement Screen (FMS) performed by a FMS Certified Specialist. The FMS identifies individuals with an increased potential for injury. Poor movement patterns caused by muscle strength and flexibility imbalances are detected by the screen. Athletes scoring 14 or lower in the screen are at an increased risk for injury. An OrthoNeuro FMS Certified Specialist will develop a corrective exercise program to address the strength and flexibility imbalances found during the screen. Performing the proper corrective exercises and training with proper body mechanics will improve the athlete’s Functional Movement Screen score and subsequently decrease their risk of injury.

Pilates:
Pilates gets your mind in tune with your body. Emphasizing proper breathing, correct spinal/pelvic alignment, and complete concentration on smooth/flowing movement, you become acutely aware of how your body feels, where it is in space, and how to control its movement. Pilates improves strength, flexibility and posture awareness. It also facilitates relaxation, full body awareness, and is a gentle yet challenging workout.
OrthoNeuro offers private and semi-private Pilates exercise sessions which include exercises using the Reformer with the addition of Mat Pilates and the Theraball as needed, to create a balanced and safe exercise session. The Pilates Reformer is a spring-loaded exercise system designed to transform the way your body looks, feels and performs. The Reformer is an excellent exercise tool for all ages and abilities.
Private Sessions are the fastest way to progress with Pilates. Amanda will work one-on-one with you on the equipment. She will create a program designed specifically for you adjusting the intensity of the exercises to facilitate optimal results.
Semi-Private Sessions are a more economical form of training, while maintaining the advantages of the private sessions. The key is finding a partner with a similar fitness level- this is the responsibility of the client. It is recommended that clients with little to no experience with Pilates begin their training with several private sessions prior to scheduling semi-private sessions.
OrthoNeuro is now scheduling Pilates clients at our Westerville facility.
